Genie, the Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) segment of Terex Corporation, announced the appointment of Chad Hislop to the position of design engineering director. Hislop will oversee product improvement for all Genie branded products worldwide. Hislop has been with Genie since 2001, and in his 15-year career with the company, he has worked extensively in product management and engineering, including holding positions on the new product development and product improvement teams. He also has been an active participant in the company’s five-year vision and road map process activities. Hislop holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering degree and an MBA, with a focus on technology management, both from the University of Washington. Terex Corporation, based in Westport, Conn., is a global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products and services delivering lifecycle solutions that maximize customer return on investment. Major Terex brands include Terex, Genie, Powerscreen and Demag. Terex solutions serve a broad range of industries, including construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, shipping, transportation, refining, energy, utilities, quarrying and mining.
