DeSilva+Phillips, an advisory services firm for the education and health care markets is pleased to announce that Frank Baitman has joined the firm as a senior advisor. In his role as senior advisor, Baitman will support the firm’s health care practice, bringing years of experience in digital health care, innovation and other tech-enabled services, both in the private and public sectors. Baitman was an executive in the Obama Administration from 2009 to 2015. Most recently he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Prior to his public service career, Baitman was president of the U.S. subsidiary of Petards PLC, a British security software and hardware manufacturer. He also held the position of research director at the Institute for the Future in Palo Alto, Calif., and director of corporate strategy for IBM. Baitman hold a master’s degree in public management from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York. Over a 21-year history DeSilva+Phillips has served as an adviser in more than 40 health care deals valued at more than $1.5 billion.
