MaxLite introduces the 100-watt LED Area Lamp as an energy-efficient replacement for high-pressure sodium and metal halide lamps in outdoor luminaires. The MaxLite LED Area Lamp is an easy and economical retrofit for pole and surface mounted fixtures with an E39 socket, such as shoeboxes, cobra heads and wall packs. Delivering 10,000 lumens, the lamp provides a high quality of light compared to the yellow haze of high-pressure sodium and metal halide bulbs. The lamp turns on instantly and evenly distributes light with a 180-degree beam angle (Type V distribution), thereby reducing shadows and creating a more well-lit and comfortable environment for pedestrians and motorists. Providing facilities with years of energy and maintenance cost savings, the LED lamp reduces energy usage by 75 percent and lasts twice as long as conventional bulbs, with a lifetime of 50,000 hours. Additionally, the lamp is listed on the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Qualified Products List, making it eligible for the highest levels of utility rebates across the country.
